چکیده
Abstract Background and Hypothesis Environmental stressors may influence immune surveillance in B lymphocytes stimulate autoimmune responses via epigenetic DNA methylation modifications schizophrenia (SCZ). Study Design A total of 2722 Chinese Han origin subjects were recruited this study (2005-2011), which including a discovery follow-up cohort with 40 remitters SCZ (RSCZ), non-remitters (NRSCZ), controls (CTL), replication (64 RSCZ, 16 NRSCZ, 84 CTL), as well case-control validation (1230 1208 CTL). Genomic methylation, target gene mRNA transcripts, plasma autoantibody levels measured across cohorts. Results We found extensive differences global profiles between RSCZ NRSCZ groups, wherein differential sites (DMS) enriched cell maturation activation the group. Out participants, foremost DMS cg14341177 was hyper-methylated group it inhibited alternative splicing its BICD2 have increased autoantigen exposure, leading to an increase anti-BICD2 IgG antibody levels. The decreased significantly endpoint samples but not samples. There are strong positive correlations IgG, PANSS scores groups. Conclusions These data suggest that abnormal could affect autoreactive SCZ, potentially serve useful biomarkers.

Increased Circulating miR-10a Levels Associated with Multiple Sclerosis
Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that causes chronic inflammation of the central nervous system. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs 19–24 nucleotides long, which are differentially expressed in different tissues. The role of miRNAs in MS remains unclear. We assessed miR-10a transcript levels in MS patients during recurrence and two months after relapse. Ma...
متن کاملDecreased Expression Levels of S100A12 and RAGE May Be Associated with Chronic HBV Infection
Background and Aims: Engagement of the receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) and its ligand “S100A12 protein” induce a cascade of reactions that eventually might lead to develop an inflammatory response dependent on NF-κB. Although involvement of S100A12 and RAGE in some autoimmune disease have proved, in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) infection functions of the prote...
متن کاملLow Levels of Apolipoprotein B-100 Autoantibodies Are Associated With Increased Risk of Coronary Events.
OBJECTIVE Previous smaller studies have indicated inverse associations between autoantibodies to oxidized low-density lipoprotein epitopes, and cardiovascular disease. The present study investigated associations between autoantibodies against the apolipoprotein B-100 peptides p45 and p210, respectively, and risk of incident cardiovascular disease in a large population-based cohort. APPROACH A...
متن کاملIncreased leptin levels correlate with thyroid autoantibodies in nonobese males.
OBJECTIVE Leptin is an adipokine that regulates body weight and appetite. It is also an inflammatory cytokine that influences immune reactivity and autoimmunity. Leptin levels are increased in obesity and are higher in women than in men. We aimed to determine whether leptin levels, independent of sex and body mass index (BMI), are associated with thyroid autoimmunity. DESIGN This study uses d...
متن کاملChild Interventions That May Lead to Increased Economic Growth
In this paper we seek to identify those childhood interventions that show real promise of positively influencing children's human capital accumulation. Next we explore the quality of existing research on these interventions; establish a set of quality standards that can be applied to evaluations of childhood interventions and finally focus on the extent to which research can link the interventi...
